I have used following techniques shown below in this 3ds max tutorial.
[1]-Click on the box button and create box with the following size
Place like me
[2]-Convert the box into the editable poly now select the polygons
[3]-Then switch to the detech button and detech polygons like me
Also detech two more polygons line at the top of box
[4]-Select the polygons and detech polygons like me
Also detech two more polygons line at the front of box
[5]-Selec the size line polygons and detech polygons like me
Also detech two more polygons line at the side of box
[6]-Now create selection and detech polygons like me
[7]-Apply the mesh smooth modifier with the amount of 2.0
[8]-Apply the spherify modifer and your object should like this
[9]-Now apply the edit poly modifier and select the all edges
Then apply the bevel polygon with the good following amount as shown below
[10]-Your ball should like this
[11]-Again apply the mesh smooth modifier with the amount of 2.0
[12]-Your object should like this
[13]-Create white material like this and assign to the whole object

[4]-Create four more copy and set like this
[5]-Create another box and convert into the editable poly
Now select the vertexes
[6]-Pick the uniform select and scale button now drag the vertexes like this
[7]-Select the other vertexes and place like me
[8]-Again select the vertexes and drag like me

[10]-Create cylinder and apply the taper modifier with the good following amount as shown below

Deleted now like me
[3]-Place the rectangle like me
[4]-Create one more copy and place like me
[5]-Go to the attach button now attached both spline
[6]-Select the both vertexes and go to the fuse then switch to the connect and weld
Now you will see the both vertexes are joint together
